Velma A. McGuire

Velma A. McGuire, 79, of Christiansburg received her angel wings January 4, 2023 at New River Valley Medical Center. She is no longer in pain or sad. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim McGuire; son, Jimmy McGuire; mother, Elsie Ratcliff; and sister, Darlene McGuyer. Left to treasure the memory of Velma are her brothers, Wayne Ratcliff (Darlene), Kenny Ratcliff (Vicky), and Larry Ratcliff (Mary); sister, Teresa Roop (Jimmie); granddaughter, Adrianna McGuire; niece and nephew, Carolyn Baily and Ricky Ratcliff; and special cousin, Frances East. A special thanks to her brother-in-law, Jimmie Roop, who was her caretaker. A memorial service will be planned at a later date per her request.
