VERONA GAIL YATES, 55, of Pulaski, VA, went home to be with the Lord on June 5, 2011.
She is survived by her parents, Wiley E. & Noma Bane Goad of Parrott, VA; her spouse, Larry D. Yates of Pulaski, VA; her sons, Eric D. Yates & wife, Melanie, of Grove City, OH, Nicholas B. Yates & his fiancée, Candius Branscome, of Pulaski, VA; her grandchildren, Josie Yates, Gracie Yates, Makenna Yates, Brooke Branscome and Mackenzie Knight; her sisters, Rita Ann Simpkins & husband, Joe, Selena East & husband, Raymond, Cindy Fender & husband, Larry, and Monica Lawrence & husband, Earl.
Her hobbies were working in the flower garden.
She was employed at Radford University for 23 years in food service & housekeeping.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 7, 2011, from 5-8 pm at Horne Funeral Home, Christiansburg. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at 10 am at the Horne Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor T. Michael Bond officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg.
