Vickie Dannewitz

DANNEWITZ, VICKIE DARLENE, age 59, of Christiansburg, VA went to be with the Lord Wednesday, August 3, 2005.

She moved to the Christiansburg area from Fairbury, Nebraska to be close to her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Good Shepherd Baptist Church where she was the music director. She was preceded in death by her father, Cecil Glenn Stiawalt.

She leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Ada L. Stiawalt of Ness City, Kansas; children and their spouses, Darin Lee Wassinger of Overland Park, Kansas, Kevin Dean Wassinger & Andrea of Overland Park, Kansas; Dierdre Michelle Dannewitz of Floyd, VA; Jessica Louise Chavez & Troy of Pueblo West, Colorado; Judith Lynne Brown & Brent of Warsaw, VA; Jason ElRoy Dannewitz & Katrina of Lincoln, Nebraska; brother and sister-in-law, Bill Stiawalt & Marilyn of Ness City, Kansas; and ten grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the Good Shepherd Baptist Church in Christiansburg. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 6 at the Good Shepherd Baptist Church with Rev. Matthew A. Kirkland officiating. Interment and graveside memorial will follow at 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 10th at the Ness City Cemetery in Ness City, Kansas. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Good Shepherd Baptist Church, Van Fund for Children & Youth; P. O. Box 398; Christiansburg, VA 24068.
