Virginia Flanary

Virginia Flanary, 85 of Christiansburg, passed away July 20, 2023. She was preceded in death by her father, George Asbury; mother, Ms. Easterling; brothers, George Asbury, Russell Asbury; and sister Carolyn Hall.
Virginia is survived by her husband of 62 years of marriage, Ronald Flanary; brother, Frank Asbury; sons, Charles Flanary, Ronald G. Flanary, II and wife Michele; grandchildren, Trevor Flanary and wife Emily, Taylor Flanary, Chris Flanary; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Virginia enjoyed many things – she was an avid church worker, worked for the retired senior program, loved to cook and read, and enjoyed fellowship and loved to talk. She was in childcare for 20 years. She worked at the library as well and was a member of the book club.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at 2 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home.
