VYULE, VIVIAN ALLEAN BARKER, age 78, of Christiansburg, passed away Monday, May 26, 2008 at Montgomery Regional Hospital.
She was born in Montgomery County, VA on October 6, 1929 to the late Charlie Essie and Gracie Wade Barker. She retired from Virginia Tech Facilities in 1995 after fourteen years of service.
She is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Patricia Ann Adams of Buchanan, Tennessee and Melba and Kelcie Edwards of Shawsville; three grandchildren, Thomas Michael Amos and wife, Stacey of Roanoke, Donald Richard Schoenemann, Jr. and Angela Irene Adams of Buchanan, Tennessee; special nephew, John Barker and wife Peggy of Rocky Mount, and many other nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the nurses, aides, and staff of Heritage Hall and the Kroontje Health Care Center for the loving care, friendship, and support that she received. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 Wednesday, May 28th at the Horne Funeral Home, Christiansburg, VA. Funeral services will be 11 am Thursday, May 29, in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
