Walter Tony Scaggs

Walter 'Tony' Scaggs, 70, of Christiansburg, VA passed away on September 18, 2023 at his home. He had many jobs over the years at Hercules, Bassett Furniture, Conrock, Turman Lumber and Norwood Development. Tony enjoyed hunting and fishing, and attended First Apostolic Church of Radford. Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold & Josephine Scaggs, grandparents, Sidney & Betha Scaggs and Cierco & Gay Cox, brother, Wayne Scaggs, niece, Angela Fisher; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Tony is survived by his daughter, Angela Victoria Scaggs; step-son, Kelly Vest; granddaughter, Juliette Vest, who was the apple of his eye; sister, Jackie Fisher; nephews, Anthony Fisher and Chris Scaggs; father-in-law, Nelson Vest; his church family, who meant so much to him; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nephews, great nieces, brothers and sisters-in-law, and cousins. The family will receive friends at Horne Funeral Home on Monday, September 25 from 12 to 1 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Joey Hall officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
