WOOD, WALTER WARREN, age 65, of Christiansburg, died suddenly March 11, 2007.
He was the son of the late Robert and Maggie Wood. He was a retired employee from VDOT and was currently employed by Showcase Home Builders.
He is survived by his wife, Christine C. Wood; one daughter and son-in-law, Wanda W. & Glen F. Keith; two granddaughters, Kara R. Keith and Amy C. Keith; three brothers, Ervin Wood of Smith Mt. Lake, Henry Wood of Arkansas, Roy Wood of Floyd; and one sister, Shelby Conner of Christiansburg.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 13 at the Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 14 at the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jim Bayne officiating. Interment will follow in the North Fork Cemetery, Montgomery County. In lieu of flowers please make memorial donations to the Christiansburg Rescue Squad, P. O. Box 176, Christiansburg, VA 24068. The Wood Family is being served by Horne Funeral Service, Christiansburg.
