Wayne Martin Alderman

Wayne Martin Alderman, age 81 of Christiansburg, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 6, 2024.

He was employed for 37 years at Radford Army Ammunition Plant working in nitroglycerin for the military.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert Eulice Alderman and Edna Graham Alderman; brother and wife, Corky Alderman (Ann); sisters and husbands, Anna Lee Alderman (Jack), Geneva Kelly (Joe); and daughter, Cassandra ‘Sandy’ Ann Alderman.

Wayne is survived by his daughter Kimberly A. Buzzard and son-in-law, Owen Q. Buzzard; grandchildren, Constance Burton (Charles Hall), Jesse Owen Buzzard (Kyndell), Jacob Wayne Hutchison, Andrew Graham Hutchison; great-grandchildren, Charleigh Hall, Kion Hall; and many nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to Gentiva Hospice and Highland Ridge Nursing Home for taking such good care of my daddy and to his friend Basil and nurse Vickie (known as Frosty Lady to Dad).

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2024, from 1-2 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home.  Funeral Services will begin at 2 p.m. in the Chapel with Rev. Frankie Graham and Robbie Johnston officiating.  Interment will follow in Den Hill Cemetery.
