William Ronald 'Ron' Bagwell

William (Ron) Bagwell, 64, of Christiansburg, died at home on November 17, 2014, after a long illness. He was a beloved member of our family, a husband, step-dad, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle. He will be deeply missed and remembered for his humor and laughter.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Billy Bagwell, of Spartanburg, SC; and mother, Katherine Bishop Bagwell, also of Spartanburg, SC. He leaves to mourn a loving wife, Sandra Bagwell; step-children, Carrie Meyer Vaden of Blacksburg, Adrian Meyer of GA; grandchildren, Joshua Vaden and wife Keila, Brooke Vaden Sheppard; great-grandchildren, Gordan Vaden, Jackson Monroe, Dallas Sheppard, McKinley Sheppard, and Lane Sheppard; sister, Kathy Pack and husband Joel; niece, Jamie Flewilling and husband Curtis; nephews, Jake and Jonathan Pack, all of SC.

We want to thank all the people who have helped Ron and family along the way. Wish to thank the Blacksburg Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Community Clinic of Christiansburg, as well as Good Samaritan Hospice and Carilion Hospice. Special thanks to Marc Oliver for all your help.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 22, 2014, from 3:15 to 4 p.m. with the Memorial Service to celebrate his life to begin at 4 p.m. at Blacksburg Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
