William Edward Gordon

William Edward Gordon, 66, a USAF veteran from Christiansburg, VA, departed this life on March 24, 2018 at the Veterans Hospital in Salem, VA. He was born on February 11, 1952. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marie Sutphin Radford; father, Kyle Gordon; and his step-father, Eldred 'Shade' Radford.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Sheila Martin Gordon of Christiansburg; his children, Kristie Gordon Woolwine (JR) of Christiansburg, Douglas Gordon (Rachael) of Pilot, and Wesley Gordon (Jayla) of Pulaski; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister, Jean Moye (Dan) of Pensacola, FL; two step-brothers, Allen Gordon of Roanoke, and J.W. Gordon of Christiansburg; as well as numerous extended family and friends.

A Celebration of his life will be held at Horne Funeral Home on Thursday, March 29, 2018 with visitation from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m. with Rev. Russell Gordon of Bel Springs officiating. Interment will follow at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery, Dublin.
