William ‘Bill’ Douglas Gray, 69, of Christiansburg, passed away on Friday, November 29, 2013.
Bill was a long standing member of the Fraternal Order of Akron Eagles Lodge #2238, the VFW Post #1184 of Pulaski, VA, life member of the Disabled American Vets, as well as the Loyal Order of Moose.
He was preceded in death by his dad, William Henry Gray; mom, Mary Kate Jones; step-father, George P. Jones; wife, Juanita Sue Gray; and siblings, Michael Jones and Crystal Jones. He is survived by his children, Diana (John) Cottrell, Douglas (Michael) Gray, and William David Gray; grandchildren, John (Jena) Cottrell, Jr., William (Karisty) Cottrell, Heather (Jamie) Lang, and Preston Gray; 7 great-grandchildren; siblings, Marvin Boothe, Patricia Harkey, Barbara Evans, Dwight Jones, Blaine Jones, Curtis Jones, and Edna Honeycutt; as well as other extended family.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 4, 2013, from 5-8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2013, at 2 p.m. in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Matthew Kirkland officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens by the VFW Post 1184.
