LAMBERT, William “Bill” Clarence, 85 of Blacksburg, went to be with his Heavenly family, Monday, October 29, 2007.
Mr. Lambert was a Veteran, serving in the U.S. Army as a Medic in World War II. He was a member of the Christiansburg Pentecostal Holiness Church of many years until was no longer able to attend.
He was born August 24, 1922 in Raven, Virginia to the late Clarence William and Georgia Victoria Lewis Lambert. He was also preceded in death by his wife Gladys “Bobo” Lambert, a sister Margaret and a brother Parley Lambert.
Mr. Lambert is survived by his granddaughter; Joyce (Roscoe) Winters of Blacksburg, a grandson; Andrew (Debra) Rhea of Mesa, Arizona. Great grandchildren; David Zeigler of Check, Charles (Lisa) Zeigler of Ferrum, Crystal Zeigler of Floyd and Anthony Rhea of Christiansburg, Six great grandchildren, and one sister, Minnie (Paul) Horeluk of Chilhowie also survive.
Friends may call anytime after 12 noon Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at the Horne Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, November 1, 2007 from The Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Buckner officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
