Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of one of his saints.
William Thomas ‘Bill’ Lovern, 84 of Christiansburg, entered his Heavenly Home on April 30, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. Bill was born on May 13, 1932, in Ellett, VA. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Heidi Jayne.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Theresa J. Lovern; and their three sons, Chris (Katie), Aaron (Jena), Cody (Ambyr); five grandchildren, Emily, Samantha, Brittany, Kayla, Kelly, and Charleigh; and three great-grandchildren, Braylin, Marleigh, and Micah. Bill is also survived by five other sons, Terry (Linda), Mike, Mark, Lloyd (Christy), and Quinton (Karen); 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and very special friend, Bev Bridges.
Bill was a kindhearted, loving, gentle man who was always full of life. He always had a joke to tell, and a smile on his face. He was a wonderful husband, dad, father-in-law, and grandpa. His love was unconditional.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 3, 2017, from 6-8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be conducted on Thursday, May 4, 2017, at 2 p.m. in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Wayne Poston and Pastor T. Michael Bond officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery.
