WILLIE HELEN GRAHAM ALTIZER, 92, of Christiansburg, VA, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at her home.
She was born in Floyd County, VA, to the late Will & Meda Graham.
She was a deaconess of the Christiansburg Church of the Brethren and retired from the Blue Ridge Overall Factory.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Clinton E. Altizer; daughter, Dr. Lois A. Beeken; 3 sisters and 4 brothers.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Judy Nichols, and Rita Philpott & son-in-law Richard Philpott; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Friday, June 10, 2011 at Horne Funeral Service, Christiansburg. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 11, at 1 pm at the Christiansburg Church of the Brethren with the Reverend Donald Peters officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Christiansburg Rescue Squad, P. O. Box 176, Christiansburg, VA 24068.
