Worley Hall

Worley Lawrence “Obb” Hall, 78, of Salem, went to his heavenly home on August 15, 2013. He was born on February 23, 1935 to the late Lonnie and Hallie Hall. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Jim, Con, and Wade Hall; sisters, Sis Haga Wolfe, and Mary Earwood; and daughter, Karen “Sissy” Hall. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Leathie Hall; brother, Sonny Hall; sister, Eva “Tootie” Hartman; sons, Bubbie Hall and wife Dianne, and Argle Hall; daughter, Erica Meredith and husband Jason; grandchildren, Chance Hall and wife Terri, Heather Light and husband Barry, Seth Hall, and Conner Meredith; great-grandchild, Maddie Hensley. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends, including a special nephew, Dennis Hall.

He loved and served the Lord. He deeply cherished his family and friends. In addition he also enjoyed working on lawnmowers, weed eaters, and automobiles.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 17, 2013, from 2-4 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home, with the funeral service to commence at 4 p.m. in the Chapel. Rev. Ellis Meredith and Rev. Jason Meredith will officiate the funeral service. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg.
