STEVENS, ZELMA LINKOUS, age 75, of Blacksburg, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2004 at Montgomery Regional Hospital.
She was the daughter of the late George and Esther Linkous. She was a retired employee of Wolverine and a member of the Merrimac Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward Davis Stevens and brother, Burnett Marvell Linkous.
She is survived by two sons, Lawrence Stevens and Cathy DeHart of Blacksburg and Harry E. ?Butch? Stevens and wife, Dee of Blacksburg. One sister and brother-in-law, Orlina & Mac Sheppard of Christiansburg; brothers and sisters-in-law, Owen & Pauline Linkous of Christiansburg; Corbett & Juanell Linkous of Tampa, FL; two sisters-in-law, Thalia Conner Linkous of Shawsville and Irene Stevens Perkins of Beckley, WV. She was a loving grandmother to Melissa Gunnoe and husband, Dale of Columbia, SC; Carmen Wyatt and husband, Doug, or Radford; Zachary Stevens of Dublin; Shelli Sayers and husband, Andy of Fincastle, and Thomas Stevens of Blacksburg. She is survived by two great grandchildren, Hannah Gunnoe, Columbia SC and Brooklyn Wyatt, Radford; and two special granddaughters, Lauren Dowdy and Alyssa Dowdy.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. Saturday at the Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 2, 2005 at the Merrimac Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Jerry Sloss officiating.
